About Membership
Our goal is for you to remain in your home of choice and to be engaged in the community you love!
Membership
If you are 55 and over and live within the South Whidbey School District with our northern boundary recently expanded in 2021 to south of Bakken Road, you can be a Member. Is that you? Your annual fee gives you access to our call managers who can support and assist you in deciding what services you need, and then connect you to volunteers who provide a variety of small but essential services to help you live independently at home. They provide on-island transportation, light gardening, technical assistance, walking/exercise buddy, short-term pet care, a social visit or phone call, minor household repairs, and much more. Our occasional fun and educational social activities will help keep your life rich and full.
What is the cost? Membership dues are $240 per year per household (up to two members). That’s just $20 a month for peace of mind. After an interest in membership is expressed, an appointment is made for a home visit to further explain our services and to answer any questions. Once the annual fee is collected, the member has immediate access to volunteers who provide camaraderie and as well as assist with daily tasks, transportation, and household chores.
