SUMMARY:Volunteer Training: Sustainable Self Care & Compassionate Service
DESCRIPTION:THis event is now rescheduled – yay. It is Friday\, October 23rd. If you’re a South Whidbey at Home volunteer\, please join us for a lively interactive workshop on how to serve compassionately without burning yourself out. You know how the flight attendant always tells us to “put your own oxygen mask on first before trying to help others”? That’s a great metaphor for volunteering. This is also a wonderful opportunity to hang out with other volunteers who do what you do : share experiences\, make new friends\, and also feel like part of an amazing team! The training will begin at 10:00 but please join us at 9:30 for coffee\, tea\, and pastries. We’ll be meeting in the wonderful Front Room in Bayview Corner\, above the Tap Room.
